Asunflower- Way to Go!!! That is great that you stuck your ground, I swear some of these doctors think their patients don't know anything. I will keep my fingers crossed that you have a couple to tranfer friday. With as many as you have to start with the odds are in your favor!

Kris-I am so excited for you , I hope you get great news today!!! I am thinking about you.

As for me my bloating feels a little better today and my weight hasn't gone up so that is good.......I think. Trying to stay positive and not think whether or not it worked every minute...I am going for every other minute ;)

Hi Kris,

I am just staring taking my Gonalf pen and HCG for now which isnt that bad. I am cycling in APril. I feel very blated which makes me nervous. Sometimes its hard because of all the physical sysptoms. How is everything going for you? Its great to read all the responses from people who are going threw this since there are no support groups at my clinic which i think they shoud all have! Is this your 1st clycle?

Hey Everyone,

Well I just got my beta results and it is a BFP! My beta is 170 so we are not sure about the high number a little nervous actually. I really appreciate all of the support I received from you all. Keep me updated and I will let you know what is going on. I feel a BFP for everyone. Lani I hope you are feeling better after transfer and Asunflower I know you will have some strong embies make it for Friday. Shansy best of luck on your April/May cycle.

Kris,
So happy for you! It is great when it works out on the first try! How many did you have transfered? How long did they have you on bed rest afterwards? I will keep you posted on how things go on Friday! Congrats to you!

Kris - April 12

Asunflower,
Thank you! I had 2 grade AA blasts transfered and was on complete bed rest for 24 hours the second day I was the couch and by the third I was moving around. My RE said to not lift anything that weighed over 5lbs for 2 weeks after. Have you gotten another report on your embies I just want this all to work out for you.

Kris,
I hope it does as well. No report today. I will hear something tomorrow. That is what I did the first go around. This time I was on different meds though so hopfully it is better. Last time I had 19 eggs retrieved and only 11 were mature. Out of the 11 6 were fertlized. This time we had 21 fertilized and now have 19 embryos to work with. I hope that is a good sign! Are you hopeful for twins? My husband and I would love it! He is a twin and is dying for them. I am just so glad that it was a positive for you. How much longer do you have to do the progesterone shots? I heard a few weeks but Ia m sure well worth it. What did they tell you the next steps are?

Kris - April 12

Asunflower,
Hope your report is good tomorrow I just know it will be. My husband seems to be convinced it is twins and I think it might be as well with the high number. I have to stay on progesterone shots until the end of the 1st trimester (I am not sure there will be anything left of my hips though) but I am really not complaining if I have a baby or two. I have my next beta on Friday morning and my 1st u/s two weeks from today. They told me to drink tons of fluids and eat small meals throughout the day and that should help with any nausea. I still have some brown discharge but they said this is completely normal and could be from the egg retrieval or transfer but with my beta number not to worry. This is all so new to me and I just don't want to jinx it. Let me know how your report goes tomorrow on the embies.

Dee,

I just noticed there is an April cycle group on the ART Work board. I was really scared about my IVF as I am sure you have read I think we all are. Having cycle buddies really eases the anxiety. I took Lupron, Follistim and microdose Ovidrel throughout my stims and they were not bad. My trigger shot was a 2500iu Ovidrel shot and it did not really bother me there was just a lot to inject. Have you been icing before your injections, this really helps? As for being bloated I was actually looking forward to the ER so I could relieve some pressure. Thank you for the good luck wishes and good luck with your first IVF.

CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew you would get a BFP! I hope your numbers have soared on friday!!!!

Well I am still going crazy in this 2ww, my bloating hasn't gotten worse which is good from a comfort perspective but now I wonder it it worked......4 more days until my beta and I am going crazy!!! I told myself that I wasn't going to test but it is getting harder.

Asunflower-I hope you get a great embie report soon

Asunflower - April 13

Kris and Lani
Did your ER recommend intercourse prior to transfer? I read in a few places that it may help. Just curious. I find out today what time I go tomorrow. How many days after did you both have to wait for your beta? My first time I waited 15 days.

Lani - April 13

Asunflower-I don't recall if my RE said anything about intercourse before transfer but I know they say none after transfer.

My beta will be 9 days after transfer, 14 days after retrival.

Kris - April 13

Asunflower,
My RE told us it was an option because some believe it aids the embryos in implanting. She really didn't say either way we didn't I still felt so miserable before transfer. I had my beta at 9dp5dt or 14 days after retrieval I of course cheated because I could not take the suspense. How are your embryos will you find out today when they call to schedule transfer. I am so excited for you, keep us posted.

Kris - April 13

Lani,
How are you feeling past transfer I hope well. You only have 4 more days right I really want a positive beta for you. Are you having any symptoms?
Kris
