Geman measles vaccine needed?

Hi everyone! I need your advice. I got a call from a nurse at the hospital yesterday telling me that all my bloodwork came back. All was well except that they found that I'm neither immune to Rubella or not immune. (borderline)They said I should be retested at another lab. Now I wonder, is that really necessary? I mean for one thing, our insurance covers nothing in this whole process and I'm thinking I wouldn't do anything with the information anyway. I called back today to discuss this with a nurse who said the chances of being exposed to Rubella is very slim but they have to tell us that there is a chance. Also, if I opted to get the vaccine, that would push my IVF off another month. So I said no, I don't want another test and I don't want the shot. I want to get moving on this whole thing right away!

Do you think I'm being stupid here?

Also, I had an appointment with the clinic's psycholgist (since I'm so afraid of the needles) and she helped me to at least try and get through this with positive thinking and relaxation techniques. Anyway, I felt like it was step 2 completed and I'm on my way! I go for my FSH test Mon or Tues and 2 days later can schedule my injection class. So I'm right up there with many of you terrific ladies!! I love the saying you all say here....baby dust to all!!! :) Karen
