Hi Ladies,
I don't know about all of you....but I hate the design of these new stinkin' boards. It's much more difficult to navigate around this place. You can't even see which topics have new posts....sheesh...I don't like it at all!

I talked to the RE's office and I have a new protocol! Yeah! If all goes according to plan...I should start stimming in a few weeks. My new protocol requires me to take Bravelle and Menapur..and much later in the cycle they will give me something called Ganarelex (sorry spelling?) instead of Lupron. I am so happy we are trying a totally new protocol this time around. Well see what happens!

Hi,
I'm doing another IVF also in December with a new protocal. Last time I was on the long protocal and this time I will be on a shorter protocal. No suppression, I will just start injections on CD 3 provided everything looks good at my baseline scan and b/w. Stimmed really bad last time. Only got 3 eggs. I'm 30 with normal FSH (5.7) and well I really wasn't expecting that. Old RE wanted to stick with the same protocal (she didn't even want to up the dose of Puregon) so I found a RE and he put me on the shorter protocal with a higher dose. As soon as AF comes. ER is expected about the week of December 5th.

WantsBaby2,

I just want you to know that I am thinking and praying for you. I seem to lurk more than post these days, but I always check for yours and 44's progress. I hope that you have a successful cycle - you so derserve it :)
I am sending lots of baby dust and Hugs your way :)

Thanks Meg! Keep us posted on your situation!

Welcome to the site Diane. I don't believe I have ever seen you post before. I know the pain of not stimming very well. We have had two cancelled atempts because of poor stimulation. It's a bummer. Keep us posted! Lots of babydust to you!

Hi, Had first consultation with doctor today re IVF, He recommendds taking baseline FSH on day3 of my cycle which should be next Thursday and starting meds in December, doc says egg retrieval likely in January. Does above mean I'm a december IVF cycle or a January? This site has been very useful in giving information on what to expect. thanks for sharing ladies!

wantsbaby2,
I agree, I'm not to fond of this new setup either.

I wish you and everyone else the best of luck! I've been praying everyday for everyone out here.

Take care,
Cindy

SNINDY..
? FOR YA... IM PRETTY NEAR HAVING TO MAKE A DECISION ABOUT IVF AND SO SCARED... HOW DOES THAT WRK...???/ EVERYWHERE I HAVE READ APPEARS TO TAKE MORE THAN ONE TRY OR GO AROUND, DO U GET CHARGED EVERY TIME ? OR DOES INSURANCE COVER IT EVERY TIME? CURIOUS

Cin,
I did a frozen study for girls who suffer from polycystic ovarian syndrome, it cost me $5,000 half the price and it was good up to a year. No matter how many transfers I did. My insurance will not pay for anything that involves infertility. Which sucks but if you can find a place that have studies for certain things, you only pay half the price like I did.
IVF is probably the most succesful way to go, I would highly recommend it.
I read in People Magazine that there is an organization that would fund IVF for those who can't afford it, let me give you their website just in case you don't have the extra cash and your insurance won't pay. www.inciid.org
I don't know what area you are from but there may be a place near your home town.
There's nothing to be scared about IVF, some women get it on the first try and some on their 2nd or 3rd. I was lucky to get pregnant the first time but miscarried and then the 2nd try I'm pregnant with twins and lasting longer than before, so you never know.

Good luck on your journey
Cindy
