My husband will be giving my shots also.. I'm nervous about those and the side effects. I still have 6 days to start them. I am scared and excited and nervous all rolled together. I love that i found this site, so i can confide in women who have gone through, and are currently going through this. Good Luck desiree! and to all of you!

Hi Desiree,
I have done the Follistem pen for 4 IVF cycles. I have given all injections myself. For 1 of my IVF cycles My estrogen went above 6000. I felt bloated and not my self emotionaly. This would be indirectly related to folistem injections. I dislicked the progesterone injections.

I just started a Nov IVF cycle. I began my lupron injections yesteday with no problem. However, today Is started the Gonal-f and the repronex. These two injections pack a lot of power. Does anyone have any suggestions as how to make it better. Is it better to do it slowly or fast so that it's over sooner? Any suggestions?

I know its a silly answer but not fast and not too slow. Too fast hurts and too slow is nerve wracking. Take care.

well they made me get off of the stims and lupron the last two days, my estrogen levels are 2200 and they see 25-30 on each ovary, because i have pcos. i have a cold on top of it, my throat is killing me so i went to dr and they gave me amoxicillian and i am working a ton, and i just feel so ran down. has anyone experienced this before? the nurse said they may have to start over? she could not answer any of my questions....

So sorry desiree.. I hope you dont have to start over. how high are your levels suppose to be at this stage of the stims? You've been on a week right? Stay strong.. and keep asking your questions to the nurse and Dr.. til you get your answers! Let us know how it goes.

thank you. i went to dr this a.m and they said your estrogen should be under 1000 right now and mine is 2200 and i have a total of 60 follicles. they are very scared i am going to over stim which is dangerous. they are hoping that getting off of the meds will make estrogen go back down and will allow me to get back on FSH to make follicles bigger. i am so scared. my follicles are 1.1 cm so i still have a ways to go. thank you and good luck to you, howe is your cycle going?

i rec a call from nurse again this afternoon, by estrogen levels went from 2200 to 87 b/c dr had me off of all drugs. they called tonight to say start my fsh back up only 75 a day and no lupron. i am so sick right now i have a fever of 101 and sore throat and green snot... does anyone know if you have a fever will your cycle be cancelled????

Desiree, Just so I understand, OK so you were taking stims (egg stimulators), and estrogen was way to high so they had you stop, estrogen went down. Now they want you to start again but at a lower dose? If they are restarting stims I would think thats a positive thing, I wouldn't think a fever would stop anything, I am hoping the best for you. I am having my u/s and "mock transfer" tomorrow, then will be starting my shots tomorrow night. I am so nervous. The hardest part has to be the emotional rollercoaster we go through.

Hello, Desiree? You ok? ...anyone out there?
I went to the doctor yesterday, started my shots last night.. went pretty good. The only thing is I started getting sick Tuesday.. sneezing 100 times and runny nose now my throat hurts.. What did you end up having Desiree? Are you still on your Meds?

oh my gosh if you get what i got it is the worst thing i have ever had in my life. i am still on track, take tylenol only and robitussin is ok, and cough drops, and use saline nasal spray, get a vaporizor and put it by your bed and load up on vitamin c and your prenatal vitamin. monitor your temp, and let dr know your temps if you get one. and if you do take tylenol and dont stop until its gone. i am still sick, i even went to dr and they gave me amoxicillian and it has not helped at all. i have been sick for over a week and i want to die. i cough all night long i feel like i am going to break a rib. take care stay in bed and rest. good luck and let me know how it all goes. i am probably going to take the trigger on sunday or monday... we are so nervous

As for me Today was the last day of the 2ww. I had my blood drawn yesterday 13day post transfer. My HCG level was 74. I am cousously optomistic. BFP!!
I retest monday for doubling every 48 hours. Keep your fingers crossed!!

Write us back today I am very excited for you..I went yesterday for blood work and u/s. After 4 shots..It went good. I have 10 or so eggs, they are growing like their suppose to, so thats good. I go again on Wed. (is that a good amt of eggs)

Desiree, just wondering how your weekend went. Hope things are going well. I never got sick Thank God!.. I was worried. Feeling Good.. Kinda nervous though, as tonite, I might have to give my shot myself. It'll be fine..

Hi Ladies!

Desiree- Day 4 on stims is too early to tell how many will stay. The important thing is that the follicals develope at a constant rate with out developing a domminant follical.

As for me, my HCG ws only 145 16 days post day 3 tranfer. I did not have a doubling in 48 hours. It is probably a chemical pregnancy. They will recheck me on Wen.

I myself had to go through ivf due to problems with my fallopian tubes. I had a tubal pregnancy back in 1997 and could not get pregnant since then. After almost 8 years of trying to conceive, my husband and I decided to go to an infertility doctor where they confirmed that my tubes were not working. We had 4 embroys transfered on Nov 5, 2005, and are nervously awaiting if we are pregnant. I have been cramping a lot since the transfer and the doctor said that's a good sign. We're hoping for the best and asking the Lord to bless us with some little ones. Keep the faith up and pray that the Lord will bless you with children. I know it's a tough journey, but its all worth it. Keep me posted.
