I had my transfer today. I had 6- 8 celled embies and 2- 6 celled embies. I was pretty excited about the results. 3 of the 8 celled had 0 fragmentation. So we transfered those 3. The rest will grow to blasts and then freeze if they make it. I did a 3dt. Now on to the 2ww. Good luck to everyone else out there. sticky vibes to everyone +++++++

Arrrh the 2WW is nearly over - I test tomorrow at 9am and I guess I have an agonising wait all day for the phone call ???

Good luck Jackie - I hope its a good sign that we have not heard from you.
Michele1 - Positive vibes to the 3 embies +++
Dreamscome true - oh you are definitely not alone .... good luck embies!

I have felt really, really pre-menstrual and even woke up the other night moaning with cramps .... I keep running to the bathroom as I am convinced evil 'Aunt Flow' has arrived - not sure if its the drugs or what’s going on... has anyone else had anything similar?

+ vibes to everyone I didn't mention

dreamscometrue, I also take progesterone shots but mine are mixed in olive oil. The RE said that they had a lot of women reacting to the peanut oil, and now, they recommend the olive oil. I never had a problem with it. Just make sure that your DH massages the injection spot to make sure that all the product is not staying all in one spot and then put a heating pad on for about 10 minutes or so. It makes a difference. Also, it's nice to be pampered! My RE and a friend nurse recommended that to me.
Hang in there hopeful2006!!! You are almost done with the wait.
Nikita, I hope you will have good news today.

thanks so much -- i am trying -- no hpt i am gonna touch it out. i so feel like AF is coming - but the spotting came and went pretty quickly so i think i am ok in that regards.

I too take the Progesterone shot in oil,, ICE ICE ICE ICE is the key - i sit on ice for 20 minutes b/f DH does the shot and I don't feel a thing - he is wonderful at doing the shot -- i massage it after a little and then go right to sleep - we do ours at 10:00 every night ..

Good luck everyone,

Carrie

Hi everyone!
I am so sorry for falling off of the face of the earth. I received a BFN last week and was devastated. I just knew deep down in my soul that this was going to work. Everything, I mean everything, went just perfect for the cycle and still not positive results. All of the recommendations given by the experts in the field was done by my RE. She was even shocked.

So, needless to say, I couldn't offer any support to anyone last week. I apologize for abandoning ship :)

So I am having a follow up consultation with my RE on friday at 10am to discuss what to do next. We will try one more IVF. (This $10k out of pocket fee adds up quickly).

Ladies, please pray for my dh. He was so disappointed. I feel so for him because I have had the blessing of having one child in my previous marriage. She is 17 and will be going off to college. So this is like starting my life all over again. But my husband hasn't had that joy and I want to give that to him so bad. He has been 100% supportive and positive, but I know deep down in side he's gravely disappointed.

Asunflower, I go to Infertility center of houston here in Houston, texas. My RE is Dr. Sonja Kristiensen. She's wonderful.

Well, thanks for listening. I have had a few days to get myself back to reality in perspective. Thanks for thinking about me.

Babydust to all!

Jackie

Jackie,
I am so sorry. My prayers are with you and your DH. Keep your strength, THIS will work! Got to keep the faith somehow.

I have my Beta Test on THursday. Yesturday (monday) I had to go the ER because of a severe migraine and they ran a beta test and it came back with an HCG of 15 which means positive but its still low. Then again, it had not even been a week after the embryo transfer so I don't know what to think. THe last couple of days I've been feeling some sharp cramping and at time some pain on my right side which freaks me out. See, I had an ovarian ectopic last october and the pain reminds me a lot of this... I just hope its all in my head and nothing more.

Is it normal to feel sharp like cramps at this stage? I am hoping that the beta on thursday has at least doubled the 15 of monday, if not i'm afaid it is just a chemical PG.

I don't know what to think anymore... I am so tired and work is keeping me busy but to top it all up I have to fly to my DH grandfather's funeral this weekend. .. Thanks for listening.

Dreams.

Hang in there. Take the positive of that and be hopeful.

Thanks for your encouraging words. This is a tough journey but finding this site has made me understand how many strong women are out there. If a person can go through this, they can go through anything.

Jacki, I'm so sorry for you. But don't give up. Hope is the only thing that keeps us going as well as all the support you are getting from all of us here. I share your pain. I never thoguth I would see DH crying the way he did when I had the m/c. I think we are stronger in a sense that we are the ones taking the shots, meds. The men, on the other side, are just witnesses. It's harder for them to relate but at the same time, it really touches a soft spot. That's when it's important to feel that your couple is strong. When one feels weak, the other one is there to help, and vice-versa. I truely feel that with my DH.
Dreamscometrue, take it easy. The trip to the funeral may be a lot for you. Be good to yourself. This is an important time.

Nikita - January 25

Hi everyone!

Some good news to pick you up and give you hope..... Yesterday’s beta blood test came back 'positive' YIPPPPPEEEE! I could not believe it as I really felt pre-menstrual and had really back cramps and pain in my ovaries. I think now it must have been the estradiol patches I am wearing as one of the side effects listed is cramping. The figure was 384 which they say is really good and I have to go back tomorrow to see if it has doubled. I tricked my husband and pretended I had not heard from the hospital and took him on a walk with our dog and told him the news at a really beautiful spot near our house.

Jackie - hang in there.... I had 2 IUI’s, which failed, then I got pregnant naturally and had a m/c at 2 months - it was horrific! I still cry when I think about it. I am definitely not getting excited this time until I reach the 3 month safe zone. It will happen for you and your DH. You have already proved yourself strong so keep at it - you know the end result will be worth it.

Dreamscometrue - I hope the funeral goes as smoothly as these sorts of things can - make sure you take it easy and if you have to, leave if it gets too stressful.

Thinking of you all...

Nikita xxx

Nikita:

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you and your DH.. I only have 2 more days to wait and I am praying for the same results .. I feel crappy today especially like dizzy and having hot flashes and have this strange taste in my mouth, AF has not come though so i am crossing fingers..

Enjoy your moment -- you will be fine and in October you will be a mommy :-)

Thanks Hopeful2006 ..... I had the same cramps and its funny you made the comment about taste because I made a brie sandwich a week ago, which I normally love and as soon as it was near my nose it smelt horrible and I had to throw it away! My friend is pregnant at the moment and is convinced she smells different (her own body smell that is).

I have a good feeling - let me know how it goes.

+++++++ vibes
