Dr. Smith,
I had written to you two times this week about my cycle that just failed this month. You advised looking into the hcG shot as explanation of me being 29 and having all inmature eggs at the time of retrieval after having a successful first cycle in 2002.
I've been waiting to have my post consult with my doctors, which was scheduled for June 1. I left a message yesterday requesting to meet with them sooner to discuss the hcG debocle. I got a call first thing this morning to start my monitoring month immediately, which I agreed to. Then about a half hour later, the nurse called me again, saying she had talked to the dr that did my retrieval and transfer and he said if I look all clear on the ultrasound tomorrow, we will skip the monitoring month and do an Antigon cycle with no lupron. I said I wished to speak with the doctor before agreeing to it, especially since we haven't evaluated what just happened. What is your opinion of my current situation? Thanks so much!

Don't rush things. Try to get some answers before proceding with the next cycle. After all, what's a one month delay in the big picture. They have suggested a different ovarian stimulation protocol. Ask them what they think the advantage will be compared to the previous cycle. More mature eggs with Antegon instead of Lupton?
