Hi Dr Smith,
Would you kindly give me the questions I should ask the Embryologist about the embryos prior to ET?
Also, please explain the embryos' grade, cell, etc that is good for tranfser.
Thank you.

Ask what the cell number is and the degree of fragmentation. If they use a grading system, find out what grade is the best and what is the worst. Diffent labs have different grading systems, so it is important to ask how they rate on their scale. For appropriate cell number for different days of development, see http://www.sharedjourney.com/ar
ticles/dev.html Fragmentatio
n
is an indication of embryo health and developmental potential. <10% fragmentation is fine, 10-20% still O.K., but dimished developmental potential, 20%+ things look pretty bad.
