I have just undergone my second ivf icsi cycle on short protocol, 1st cycle i have a wonderful son. this time all seemed to be going well i had 18 eggs at EC but unfortunaly none of the mature eggs(15) fertilised. we were aware of husbands low morphology and apparantly they are rounded in shape so we used icsi. Last time out of 8 eggs 3 fertilised, so this was a real shock for us both. I'm now waiting 5 weeks for a review, and keen to start again i am however wondering is there any point? Did we just have an absolute miricle the first time? Cant afford or face lots of failed attempts so is there anything else they can do to improve the chances of fertilisation?
