many IVF cycles result in earlier menopause

If women are born with all of the eggs they need and then we go through many IVF cycles where lost of eggs are retrieved, would this mean that we could hit menopause a lot sooner? Just curious!

Nope. At the begining of each cycle (natural or stimulated) a certain number of follicles are recuited into a growing pool (the number of follicles recruited depends on your age). During a natural cycle, all but one of these follicles will undergo a process called atresia (stop growing and be resorbed). The remaining folicle will continue to grow and ovulate an egg. During a stimulated cycle, all the follicles continue to grow. The medications don't recuit more follicles into the growing pool, they just maintain the growth of the follicles that started to grow on that particular cycle. So, its the same either way. No worries.
