Hello Doctor, my husband and I had our fist IUI on March 3-4. I had a 21.4 mm follicle on CD 12 and recieved the HCG trigger shot. we did the IUI on CD 13 & 14. My husbands sperm, post wash, were 200,000 at 80% motility and 100,000 at 65% motility respectively for the 2 IUI days. Based on this, are IUI's a waste of our time and money or is there any likelihood they might work for us? thank you.

Although pregnancies can occur when the total number of motile sperm inseminated is less than 1 million, it is very rare. I wouldn't waste any more time or money on IUI. The most efficient way for you to achieve a pregnancy is through IVF with ICSI.
