Frozen embryo quality

Dr. Smith,
Given no mitigating maternal factors, what do you think the chance of success might be for transfer of a single frozen blastocyst that has undergone pgd with no abnormalities found?
Thank you in advance for your opinion.

The implantation rate for a frozen-thawed "normal" blastocsyst is about 25-30%. Success in terms of a term pregnancy is more difficult to predict because of all the other factors involved. Best of luck.

Dr. Smith,
Thank you for your reply. Is the 25-30% implantation rate pertaining to normal appearing blastocysts that have not undergone pgd? Does the normal pgd evaluation increase confidence in the embryos at all? Are there any other factors that do (i.e. age of genetic parents, length of time frozen, etc.)? Thanks so much.

Terri
