Hi Dr. Smith,
In an earlier post you stated "...day 6 blastocysts that, again, translates into a slightly lower implantation rate..."
I was surprised to hear this because I thought day 6 blast would have a better implantation rate. Could you explain your statement a bit further? I am curious because I am getting ready to do a Day 6 blast FET in June. We have 2 frozen and will be thawing and hopefully txing both. Also, what is the best day to freeze embryos for an FET?
Thanks for your input!

The embryos that reach the blastocyst stage by Day 5 have slightly better developmental potential compared to embryos that require an additional day to reach the blastocyst stage. We consistently get pregnancies from frozen-thawed Day 6 embryos, so you shouldn't unduely worry or place too much emphasis on this. Best of luck.
