Donor cycle too long?

Dear Dr. Smith,
I have been waiting to start a donar cycle. The donor is 30 year old and has had 2 children. The donor has never donated before. The donar's normal cycle length is about 40 days. My center's current protocol for the donor is two weeks of BC pills, wait for period. On day 2, check with U/S and then start meds. My donor stopped BC pills on 8/1 and still has not started her period. My Questions are, how normal is this? Can we still have a good donar cycle? and how long can the recipent (Me) stay on lupron?
Thank you!
laura

Sorry, but this is out of my field of expertise. I'nm not an RE. Please post your question on Dr Jacob's Infertility 101 Message Board. 40 day cycles are not within the normal range, especially for donors. I think you better question your RE about that.
