Hi julie- How are you feeling today? Are you still sore? I hope you and your embies are doing well. What day are you doing the transfer? Are you doing a 5 blast transfer? My doctor doesn't like to do those. Too risky that the embies don't survive in the lab for that many days, but some labs are better at growing them to blast than others. I am praying for you!

Bad news for me today. The cyst got bigger since monday. It was 25 on sat, 31 on mon, and now it is 36! I just don't understand with all this lupron how it is growing. I could see if it was not getting smaller and stayed the same, but bigger?!?! Uhggggggg. I left the RE's office crying. I saw my RE's partner and he didn't say much. Just to talk to my guy when he calls with the results with the bloodwork. Anyway I am so upset today because there is no chance for this cycle. I will try to check in before I leave work today. My computer at home is totally messed up with a virus and I haven't been able to use it.

Lyly - I am so sorry things didn't work out for you. Did they come right out and say they had to stop the cycle? Will you have to have opiscopic surgery? I almost had to cancel my first cysle as well since I was injecting the Lupron incorrectly. I was crying hysterically until the doc said I could move forward so I completely understand how you feel. Big hugs! Are you going to be able to get through the day? I am sooo sosrry more than you know.

I was worrried last night I would not be able to go on with my cycle either. I think i may have an infection from the ER. I had sharp pains all night in my stomach and right shoulder. I called the emergency fertility line around 1 a.m. - the doc said I may have blood in my abdomin. I was up all night crying and have not slept. The pain is still not great and will be wtaching it slowly. I am also constipated. I am debating canceling my therapy at noon because I am not sure I am feeling well enough to drive. If this cycle doesn't work and I had no frozen eggs, I don't think i am doing this again.

I have been ok, but my heart was not into work today. He didn't come right out and say it, but I know he was thinking it. He said well "it didn't get any smaller, you'll have to talk to your regular dr. and see what he wants to do" My guy told me he wont start the stims if it didn't get smaller by today so I don't see how I can continue.

As far as you, try to stay positive. You have come so far. I am sorry to hear about all the trouble with the pain you are having. The pain is probably from the procedure itself not infection, it would take a few days to get infected. Did they give you antibiotic for after the retreival, my dr. gave me doxycycline to prevent infection. How can they tell if you have blood in your abdomen and what would they do?

They gave me zithromax a week befor ethe retrieval and other antibiotics in the IV right before I went to sleep. I feel like I have a UTI now. There is so much pressure and I feel gasy.

So what is next with you? Will the doc call you with your next instructions if they say you can continue? Let me know? I am thinking about you.

Jules i got the call from the nurse that it is definitely off and will have to reschedule for some time next year. It is so sad that I am actually disappointed not to have to do the shots anymore! I really don't know what he wants me to do next. I have to call the office tomorrow to talk to the dr. since he wasn't in the office today. She mentioned he wanted me back on birth control pills, but wasn't sure when he wanted me to start or what if anything to do about the cyst. So now I have to wait till tomorrow to find out any info. If the cyst doen't go down I wonder if he will aspirate it or if he just wants to wait and see. I could be on hold for a while. :(

I am so sorry to hear your news. I am really sad for you and wish there was something I could do to help. Some times life is not fear and it is oK to feel not only sad but angry. Did the doc say you were going to have to have the cysts removed or is he confident they will shrink on their own?

Is there anything I can do for you? How did your hubby take it? Were you able to work after hearing the news. Next year isn't that far away. At least you don't have to be tied to the shots and tyour house over the holidays. If this month of IVF doesn't work and I don't have eggs to freeze - i don't think I will be doing it again either because this has been absolute torture for me. I am in still so much pain from the ER.

Julie-I put in a call to the dr this morning so I am waiting for his call to see if there is anything he wants to do about this cyst and find out what my next step is. The partner basically said it was small and they usually don't do anything, but I will see what my dr says when he calls. Dh didn't say a word when I told him. Not really sure how he feels. I did work yesterday but I was miserable. I hope this cycle works for you and you wont have to think about doing this again. What are your options if this doesn't work and you don't want to do IVF again?

Not sure what my options are - having a rough day. Went grocery shopping still feeling yucky. Had to get stuff. My house looks like a city dump because I can't bend down and clean.

Let me know what your doc says. If the cyst was small, I am surprised they would cancel the cycle. I had small cysts during my IUI's. I would look into that.

Julie- Sorry to hear you are having a rough day. You need to do something to help you relax. They wont stim me with the cyst because of the risks. With dh's sperm issues and ovulating on my own with only 1 follicle would be a waste to do IUI. I rather just wait. He just called me and said to go back on the birth control pills and recheck in 2 weeks to see how the cyst is. So now I wait! When is your transfer?

Hey - my transfer is supposed to be tomorrow but they have not called with a time.

The keyboard on my computer broke because I am the idiot that spilled cranberry juice on it. So I am on my lap top and am uncomfotrable.

When do you start using the birth control pills?

How many embies are you putting in? We chose to put 2 in but dh said we should do 3 to increase my chances. Luckily the RE said that with my age and first IVF he recommend only 2. I am so excited for you. How are the progesterone shots?

I start the pills today! And then go back in for a recheck in 2 weeks.

I am upset because my e/t may be canceled. There is a chance I have ovarian hyperstimulation based on the symptoms I told the nurse. I am not happy about this. I don't know how bad I have it - but am concerned.

My clinic only allows me to put back 2 eggs. I would do 3 or 4 if I could.

Julie I am so sorry to hear that your e/t may be cancelled. When do you find out for sure? What are your symptoms? If you can't have the transfer will they freeze all the embies? Do you know how many you have? I hope everything works out for you. I am praying for you.

Good news - My transfer went well. I had an 8 cell and a 6 cell that went in. My ovaries looked good but my blood pressure was through the roof with nerves. I took a valume but it didn't do much for me. My poor bladder. I couldn't wait to relieve myself. Oh yeah, the doc recommended I take gas X for my bloating - poor hubby paid the price as I tooted all night long 8) But it definately worked. I wish I knew about taking that after the E/R a lot sooner than I did. So, there is tip for anyone that has bloating after the E/R.

My preg test is 12/13.

How are you doing? Any update with you?
