My RE only suggested the 2 days, but I took it easy for a week after the transfer. I don't work, but I personally would have taken off at least a week to relax and let my body work on one objective! |

I agree with Justme. A week is a good length of time to give your body. I just had a my transfer yesterday and I was recommended to take it easy until Thursday. I need it! After working in a stressful job until September, and doing the treatments at the same time, I realized that I had to make achoice, because I really had a hard time. I had the chance (I'm very grateful for that), to work from home now. The money is not the same.... but it has been much easier on my mind, and therefore on my body. I know I'm lucky to be able to do that. But since I couldn't take one or even 2 weeks off for the treatment when I was working, that was worth it. This is too important, take care of yourself! |

I actually had to leave my job because it was very stressful being in sales as it was. This was my first cycle and I finished in early March and came out with a negative. I think when it comes to telling how much time off, its hard. Everyones body reacts differently to the med's. My body over reacted and I became the 5% that had ovarian hyperstimulation. Not fun and completely unable to perdict until it was too late. I was weak and tired before the retrieval and on bed rest for two weeks after. I even had 2 days in the hospital. So you just never know how your body is going to respond. I am going for my 2nd cycle at the end of May. I think I will have better results because I won't be on all the med's. Good luck everyone and keep the faith. |
