Hi all

How long after a d&c can we start bd, with no intention to concieve? I know OB/GYN said we can ttc after 6 weeks or after AF. Does this mean we can only start to BD at that time? (DH is kinda anxious, we are in winter this side of the globe LOL). Your advice is most appreciated.

I am so sorry for your loss and I understand how anxious you are to start your life again...
We waited about 3 or 4 weeks to bd again, mostly because I just didn't feel like it. But, I think you will know when you are ready. Make sure to wait a bit for all the bleeding to stop (I started to bleed ten days AFTER the d&c with no bleeding before that time...)

Regarding trying again, I would listen to your doctor. (unfortunately!?) I did not have a period for 2 months+ until I went on Provera to "jumpstart" it. Not that that will happen to you, but try to relax. IT WILL HAPPEN. Hang in there, take care of yourself, and good luck!!!

Sorry for your loss..it really takes a toll on us women.. hope everything works out well for you. After my d&c my doctor told me I had to wait a week(after my post-op exam) to have intercourse again, but told me 1 cycle to ttc. Most docs just want to make sure everything is healed before those nasty men start poking around in there again.. haha..
