Carrie, I can't remember the exact number, but I know it was something like a thousand and something.
I had no idea I was having twins. In fact, I didn't even think I was pregnant until the u/s showed me differently. Thank God I wasn't having triplets. The dr said before the transfer that if I got pg w/ triplets then it would be a big risk to me and to the babies and that I would have to get rid of one. That would of been a hard decision to make.
My girlfriend's sister had a high number to start with and when she had the u/s, there were actually 2 sacs but one was empty. The empty sac didn't get absorbed into the uterus yet so that is why the numbers were high. So she is just pregnant w/ one baby. But in your case, your numbers started low and then doubled, hmmmmm..... I guess you'll just have to wait and see. ;D
