Robin - i really think you should wait don't rush into doing a hpt cause i think it is to early to predict the hcg hormone.

Valerie - how far are you in your pregnancy? I dont'have sore boobs that much just a little bit should that scary me you think? but i am dizzy all the time and very tired and i sleep a lot. cramps in the morning but they are mild. That is about it for me. when do you go for your scan? i still have a week i hope it passes by quickly and i hope things go well for me. Keep me posted on what's going on with you and good luck.

Hi Robin
How are you? I am just having some back soreness today. I had mild cramping Sun nite and Mon am but really nothing since. I am one week post transfer today so I am dreading the next few days when my PMS symptoms usually come on full force.
I am also debating a hpt. I think I may just do one before I go in for my blood test so that I am prepared for a negative. Of course there is no guarantee, but it seems comforting to think you might see another pink line...

Nadia...I am 5 weeks 5 days

My scan is tomorrow although I know it is too early for heartbeat.

When I started spotting in the 2nd week, my IVF dr added to shots in addition to the suppositories......I am taking both which seems to me to be a heck of a lot of progesterone!! That may be why my bbs are so sore.
I get nervous because I was very, very sick with my other pregnancies...in fact, it was the nausea/vomiting that made me take hpg before.

Maybe I'm just not far along yet....not that I want to throw up but symptoms make you more confident!!

good luck tomorrow and let me know if you were able to see a heartbeat. I will be praying for you. I am exactly a week before you so keep me posted. Don't worry i am sure everything will be just fine :)

I too was anxious and did a HPT on the 16th of March and my retrieval was 3/3 and the transfer was 3/6. My test came out postive and positive HPT again on the following day which was my bloodtest. My only disappointment was a positive blood test with a very low beta which decreased rather than increased. They usually say not to do one before your bloodtest but I hadn't had an HCG shot since the 1st of March and all I was doing was the progesterone. I also figured I would prepare myself for the worst. Problem is, I got too excited and then my numbers didn't do what they were supposed to. I guess I will be cautiously optomistic next time.

As far as the boobs being sore. Mine def. were but it may have been the Progesterone suppositories I was on. I was def. tired and falling asleep early in that 2nd week of the 2ww and felt crampy and had a little back pain if that helps anyone.

Well I guess I can rest easy for the moment, I went for another blood test and it came back almost 15,000 and my progesterone was 177,
and STILL NO symptoms!! Is it even possible to have a count that high with no symptoms?? I will stop complaining because the #'s don't lie. The nurse also said that it looks as if it may be twins due to the high #'s! If I can sail through this symptom free than I will be thrilled!

Wow ladies....
so many helpful responses!!! I decided to forgo the hpt and just be patient.
Six days and counting until I have some answers. So the bbs are still sore but the cramping has subsided a bit. I too am doing a progesterone shot in the morning and a suppository in the evening. I've been more sleepy too and hitting the hay by 9:30 at the latest!
You women are a life saver and I'll definitely keep you posted and hope you do the same.

I met a woman recently that had twins from IVF and said she had no symptoms. You just never know!!!

Jaimee, that is great! Those are amazing #s- try and relax you are lucky you don't have any symptoms but I think I would feel the same way. It is more important to have those high numbers.

Jamiee that is great news i am so happy for you. I asked around and a lot of women said that they had no symptoms when they were pregnant so don't worry i actually think you are lucky. everything will be just great. keep us posted.

Hi girls,
Hope you don't mind me joining in. I am in the tww now as well. I had a FET yesterday (Tuesday) and we only got to transfer 1 embryo as the other 2 embryos that we had did not make it to transfer. This is my 4th attempt at IVF using DE and all previous attempts have been BFN's. I am having some mild cramping today and as well as yesterday after the transfer, this is something new to me as my other IVF's I had never had any cramping at all, I am hoping that this is somthing good that is happening, but also I am on the "reserve" side as well. My DH and I do not want to get our hopes up and be let down like we have in the past, this tww is so hard and stressful. Congrats Jamielee on your BFP, how exciting and it might be twins, WOW! Well good luck to everyone who is on the tww and hope to read more BFP on this site, and I hope I can post a BFP when my turn comes!

Robin, I was a raging bi*ch at the end of my 2ww and my moods still get crazy now! Mad then sad then happy crazy!

Thank you wannabemommy, I really hope this is your month!! I will pray for you!! I know how hard that the bfn is! Don't look for symptoms I think the less the better sometimes!!

i am good jamie still have a week to go to my first scan. I get tired during the day and have naps but that is about it. no other symptoms but the cramps in the morning. I will do another beta on saturday to be sure of how things are going. other than that the doctor asked me to stay home till i go next week for the scan. hopefully everything will be fine i really can't wait :)

Any news from valerie?

Yeah Jamie-that is great about your numbers and even more exciting that you might be pregnant with twins!!!! I wouldn't worry about the symptoms if your numbers look so good.

Robin, I did not do a hpt. I may do one the day I go in for my beta just to prepare myself, but I am only 8 days post transfer today. I am not tired at all. Just some achiness in my back and little if any crampiness a few times. No sore boobs at all. Basically, I don't feel pregnant. Even the progesterone doesn't seem to be affecting me all that much this 2ww, and I am on a higher dosage this cycle (400mg suppositories twice a day).

It is good to hear how everyone is doing!!

Hi all,

Had my first scan today....they saw one sac...no yolk yet. This may be long.....bare with me.

The tech thought it was too early to do a scan...she said she doubted she'd see anything but thick lining....she said this before the ultrasound. She then recalculated when I told her they were 5 day embies and said she "might" see something. So she saw one sac. She said it could be that it's too early for the yolk...don't panic....but you'll have to come back.

Great. So then I see my ob/gyn (my ivf doctor is out of state and only saw them twice)
My ob said my cervix was closed...that's good. He said the same as the tech...could be too early to see a fetus /yolk. I have to come back next Wednesday. He said at this stage of pregnancy, 4 or 5 days makes a world of difference.

I asked the ob/gyn about my low HCG numbers ....his answer...."you have to start somewhere". I asked him if he was concerned about the numbers being so low....he said no.....they doubled after each blood test so that's all that matters.

He then decided NOT to do another HCG blood test. He said...why bother? You should be at 1200 or better but if you're at 2000 we should see more development. Either way, we do nothing and know nothing until we do another scan next week.
He said the HCG would only mess with my nerves and sanity.

So, I still know nothing. I guess I do know that there is at least a sac...that rules out chemical pregnancy.

My IVF doctor called and agreed that this scan was probably too early.
Frankly, I'd rather have waited. Now I've got another week.....both Doctors say we will know for sure then.

Seems like all I do is wait.
ARGH!!!
Now I really wish I'd throw up!!
