To anyone out there who has been blessed with more than one child during this fertility journey - I have found a valuable resource that I'd like to share with all of you!

"National organization of mothers of twins club." (you can look it up on the internet and then find a club near you).

I attended my local club in April to check it out before the babies come .... My club is called the valley forge mothers of twins and triplets club. (website: www.vftwins.org)

It was great! How wonderful to meet a room full of ladies who have all experienced mothering multiples.

There were people there who are just expecting up to those who have teenagers. The night I attended, they had a panel of multiples and their mothers (being pregnant with twin boys, I especially enjoyed hearing from two 30 yr old twin boys and their mother on issues such as school, sports, fighting, dating, etc...).

The club also had a big 'used' sale last weekend. I participated as a shopper - talk about great deals!!! (everything from double strollers to clothing) I have decided to join the club, so next year I can be a seller and a buyer at the sale!

Another perk is that once the twins are born, another member of the club will bring me a few home made meals and offer advice and support that I may be needing!

Just thought this was a great group and wanted to encourage all of you to look up your local group. I was hesitant to go, but sure am glad I did! Check it out BEFORE you give birth!

Sussie,

I belong to that club :) Maybe I will see you there some time :) The clothing sale is great - I have gotten a lot of good deals on toys and clothing.

Meg -

Small world! Do you live in the Valley Forge area? I actually live in Oley, but am moving to Boyertown in June. So, the club is a bit out of the way for me, but seems like it will be worth attending when able!
