Hello there - i have just signed up on this site and im wondering if someone out there could possible help me.
I am a 23 yr old female and my partner is a 30yr old male. We have been having unprotected sex for the past 3 years and i have not fallen pregnant with him once.
I have been trying to work out my ovulation cycle. Generally you ovulate 14 days before your next menstral cycle is due. THe only thing about me is that i do not know what date i put to start my period from (i know this is going to sound weird). I started semi-bleeding on saturday the 28/07/06 but it was just spotting. Then 3 days later on tuesday i started a heavy flow which lasted unitl sunday. (which is 7 days tue-sunday). SO my problem is do i work out my ovualtion cycle from the sat when i started my semi cycle or do i take it from the tuesday- i hope someone can help me. Also if i havnt fallen pregnant in 3years what other options do it have??

Hi seekingsarah!
My husband and I have been ttc for about 2 years so I can understand the frustration. We've been through a lot, and are about to start IVF next month.
The way I always charted my ovulation was with the ovulation test kit. I would start around 12 days after you start bleeding, it might take you a few tries to figure it out, but then you will know about what day every month. It's not always 14 days before you're next cycle. That depends on how many days you're cycle actually is.

i agree with casey...its not always 14days...depending on your cycle and how regular you are. at times these traditional methods donot work efficiently. get the kit for hopefully more results.
