hi all, i am new to this site and i think it's great! i am a 32yo mother of 1 son and my dh is 44 father of 2 but unfortunately we don't share any together. my husband had a reversal last year after about 13 yrs and his sperm count is low about 1 million and his motility and morphology are very poor. we are trying our first round of iui next month and i am so desperately hopeful, i have wanted another child since my son 12 yrs ago but do to a break-up with his father and a remarriage with my dh of 10 yrs it hasn't happened yet. is there hope for me? does anyone now if there is a wasy to increase his sperm and improve, motility and morphology? is iui very successful? any info would be great. thanx...........kerri

p.s. wouldn't twins be wonderful!

Hi Kerri - welcome and good luck!!!
My DH had a vasectomy reversal last year after about 10 years. His sperm count was low 7-10 mil and his motility and morphology slightly below normal. We did two failed IUI's and are headed for an IVF with ICSI - the IVF with ICSI is supposed to be ideal for low sperm counts and other male factors as they can choose specific sperm and inject one into an egg (alleviating the need for the sperm to swim to the egg (motility) and get into the egg). I would really discuss with your doctors if IUI is a reasonable option. I would hate to see you waste time and energy with IUI's when likely IVF with ICSI may be your best bet.
