Wantsbaby2, When I was 18 my pap came back with cancercells. At 19 I had what I believe is called a leap procedure when they laser. I really wish they would warn girls of that age of possible infertility problems later in life. Anyways, after marriage standing on my head, charting my basil(sp) tempature for years, I had the hsg done. It showed blocked tubes. Ding...next round. I then had a laproscopy done (surgery when they put cameras in in your sides and bellybutton) after surgery the doc showed me the pictures and where scar tissue had built up on my tubes. There also was an option of removing the scar tissue but, he said, I would be out of work for 6 weeks with no guarantee of a successful pregnancy. Most likely a tubal pregnancy he said. So with my first consult with my IVF doctor, I asked her if the doctor that did the leap procedure is responsible for my inferite state. She just said no. So it's my fault? I want to blame someone. I just wish he told me then the risks. My scar tissue has been building for 10 years before I saw the hsg. If you need the procedure done now, I don't think there would be time for any to develop before IVF. I don't know....cassandra
