hello Doctor,

Could you tell me if there are any true dos and don'ts post embryo transfer ? i have read various things such as do not take hot baths, do not have intercourse, do have bed rest. I would appreciate some informed comment on this, and any reccomendations about what one should do after transfer of embryos.

We have no actual scientific data about any real do's or don'ts about post transfer activity. I have Dramatically decreased my restrictions on patient activity form bed rest 2 hours in hospital and 2 days at home to only 1/2 hour after transfer. Perhaps it is a reasonable idea to refrain from intercourse for a few days, but I have no data to really recommend that.
