Hi Dr Jacobs . I have a question. On a Woman who has NO infertility problems, and is NOT taking any infertility meds,When her Follicle is mature and her egg is ready to ovulate. What size will a woman's egg be when it pops out of the ovary? will it be 16mm, 18mm, 20mm,exct.... I would just Like to know this out of curiosity, Thank you.

The egg, itself, is micorscopic. The follicle which holds the egg has to be about 17 mm in mean diameter to be big enough to ovulate.
