Dear Doctor,

Can you get a miscarriage if you orgasm after embryo transfer? I have been reading very conflicting info on this. Apparently it's a particularly sensitive thing for IVF patients...any thoughts on this? I miscarried and have been thinking of what could have caused it...

Also, what should i expect for my the frozen embryo transfer cycle? Will (Should) the doctor do any tests? What tests usually are done?

I know of no data relating to miscarriage caused by orgasm after embryo transfer. I would recommend waitng 24 to 48 hours after embryo transfer to engage in any sexual activity, but that suggestion is not based on any scientific information.
