Hi Doctor,
I just turned 44 years old and want to do an IVF cycle I did a clomid cycle in October - results are below have been on birth control pills since November possible IVF in Jan Do i have a good chance ?
Also is it ok to be on birth control pills with no stop for this long will it affect the IVF cycle?

the blood work from my clomid challenge were:
Day 3 : FSH 6.0
LH 4.0
E2 44.8
Inhibin B 128

Day 10: FSH 7.6
LH 9.4

Do you think i would have a good change of concieving with my own eggs with the numbers above doing IVF?

The data published by S.A.R.T. indicate that implantation rate of embryos for women 40 to 44 years of age is 6.1%. Fro women in their 20's, it is over 18%. You will have a much better chance of a healthy pregnancy if you use an egg donor.
Good luck.

Doctor,
Even though at clomid challenge day three they saw 15 possible eggs you think i have no chance ? I see woman at my age and older getting PG with there own eggs.
My doc is recomending a micro lupron flare. Am i just waisting my money?

At least you do have eggs. t is not that you cannot become pregnant, but that the eggs you have are more likely to have the wrong number of chromosomes, at the age of 44. If such an egg produces an embryo, it is less likely to produce a pregnancy. If it does produce a pregnancy, it is at greater risk for miscarriage. If it produces a live child, the child will have the wrong number of chromosomes.
Good luck.
