I'm 35 with highest known FSH of 11.3 doing my 2nd IVF. Are there reasons for/against using BCPs before starting MDL? Do BCPs lower androgens in the ovaries? I am prone to acne if that makes a difference (could mean I already have highish testosterone?)

If BCPs are indicated, how long to take?

I have usually had my patients take pills for 1 pack before IVF, but have extended that for patient conveninece. It can be less. The pills do decrease androgen production by the ovaries, but androgens are necessary for the production of estrogens.
