Hi,

I've recently undergone an IVF cycle using an egg donor. I was given a shot of Depo-Lupron on the first day of my period and I also started on 2mg of estradiol. A couple of days later the estradiol was increased to 4mg and then 6mg. The day the donor was aspirated I started on the progesterone suppositories - 800mg a day. On Friday I had 2-8 cell embryos transfered. And now I'm feeling a tightness in the area of my ovary. Is this normal? Has anyone gone through ivf using an egg donor, what protocol was used for you? Thanks, any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

The protocol you described shouold not cause the symptoms you described. Your symptoms may, or may not be related to your ovaries.
