Hi DR Jacobs, I have a question. Lets say a women has regular 28 day cycle and she gets pregnant. What would a normal HCG Blood Beta number be ,if she was 4 days late after a missed period and she was pregnant? That number would you consider a normal good level? Thank You.

The norma l level for hCG in early pegnancy is an extremely wide range. I do not rely on a single value. We want to see the level at least double in 24 hours before we feel we probably have a good pregnancy.

HI Dr Jacobs, So What you are saying is , It doesn't matter what the HCG Blood number Level is , Just as long as it doubles every 48 hours?

If the level doubles, it is re-assuring, but not a guarantee of a good pregnancy.
