I am 27 years old and needing a little advice. I have low reserve, quality issues. My first IVF was cancelled due to low response, switched RE's and went for the 2nd IVF. They retrieved 8 mature eggs. 6 eggs fertilized with ICSI and on day 3 there were 5 that looked good. The scores: 9 cell grade 2 GES 65, 7 cell grade 2 GES 85, 7 cell grade 2 GES 85, 8 cell grade 2 GES 95, 8 cell grade 2 GES 95, so we went for the 5 day transfer. On the 5th day, got a phone call--all 5 of the embies were cleaved and did not make it to blast. I was told they were behind a couple of days and would arrest, therefore, no need for transfer as they wouldn't implant. I am just at a loss. Since all 8 of them were bad quality, do I chalk it up as this was a bad bunch of eggs and try again, or do I need to be looking at other options? Please help and give a straight answer. It costs sooo much and its a physical/emotional roller coaster--I want to do the right thing.
Thank you for your time and consideration! Hillary
