Hello, I am gearing up to begin an IVF cycle. I have been prescribed estrace 2mg tid, to begin at the same time that I begin my injectibles (follistim, menopur, and lupron) have you heard of this before, or do you normally only begin estrace after ER? Is this to help build the uterine lining?
Also, the bottle says not to take if pg or planning to become pg???

I begin estrogen after egg retrieval. There are some practices which try to increase the sensitivity to FSH stimulation using estrogen. If you try that, you should probably be on estrogen several days before starting FSH stimulation.

Thank you for answering! We have decided to switch from IVF to a medicated cycle with timed intercourse. Do you prescribe estrace for IUI pts as well?

There is no need to add more estrogen if you are not removing eggs and the estrogen producing cells which surround them.
