I am having the following surgeries completed mid-Nov: laparoscopy, hysteroscopy, D&C, possible argon beam coagulation of endometriosis, and possible tubal sugery. When I asked the staff how much time I needed to take off from work, they stated they could not tell me because it depends on what the surgon does. I am just wondering if any of you gals have had any of these procedures done and how quickly you recovered. I know everyone is different, but would just like a clue.

First good luck with the surgery I hope all goes well.

I had most of those proceedures (no tubal surgery though) last August. I would say the surgery itself was not a big deal and the day I came home I was tired and out of it but really not feeling that bad. Well the next day when I woke up boy was I surprised I could not believe how unbelievably sore I was. I also felt a little off but the worst part by far was the soreness in chest neck and shoulder - all reference pain from the CO2 they pump in for the Lap. for me I ended up pretty much staying in bed and taking it easy for the 2 days after the surgery. Now that said I am quite a bit older than you (38) and perhaps you will bounce back faster than my pathetic decrepit old body did! Good luck,

Lila, Thank you for the reply and the well wishes. I'm pretty nervous, but I'm glad to hear the recovery time may not be as long as I thought!

Thanks again,
Rebecca
