slow growing embryo

Thank you in advance for your help with this.

1 year ago we got pregnant on our own, 2nd month trying, m/c at 9 weeks. Had D&E and tested everything - no genetic problems.

Started infertility 3 months later, confirmed luteal phase defect after 3 biopsey's. 5 failed IUI - FSH fine no sperm problems.

1st round IVF - 8 follicles. 7 fertilized, 5 at 2 cell by day 2 other 2 arrested, Day 3 transfer - transfered 3 embryos all at 4-5 cell range. Remaining 2 arrested and could not be frozen.

This round IVF, slowed me down, 10 follicles, 9 fertilized, Day 2 - 6 at 2 cell, 3 at 3 cell, day 3 all 9 still at 4-6 cell. Day 4 transfer - transfered 4 embryos - 1 8 cell, 2 6 cell and 1 5 cell.

RE said if this cycle does not work that he would recommend PGD testing. Does that make sense to you since I have had a pregnancy prior with no genetic issues?

I don't think you need it, becouse you get natural pregnancy before.
if you aren't old , try get way from IVF drugs and whoo knews you may get pregant .
Me, i have the same problem all my emberyoes never reach the blast stage , they were only 2- 7 cells.
i have done 5 time( 3 fresh IVF / 2 frozen) since i was 27 years old, i never got pregnant.

I also had this problem. I had slowing growers but everything else was perfect. I managed to get pregnant and carry to term on the first cycle - nothing they transfered was 8 cells - I think it was 1 - 4 cell, 1 - 5 cell and 1 - 7 cell. Then the next round also with slow growers didn't work. On the next round they used a different solution (I don't think that is the rigth word but not sure what else to call it) to grow them in and they were perfect (no slow growers in site) and I am now pregnant with twins. It maybe worth a second opinion.
