From what I understand in the things I've read about miscarriage rates, the rates for miscarriage generally are about the same for IVF as they are for natural conception. Is this correct?
If so, do those rates change if a person has been on a "miscarriage protocol" for medication, i.e., are the rates any better? I had a day 3 transfer 12 days ago (2 embryos, 1 7-cell grade 5, and 1 5-cell grade 4), and my HCG level yesterday was 130. On top of the typical progesterone shot, I have also been on a heparin shot, baby aspirin, and prednisone (a combination the nurses have called the "miscarriage protocol"). For the record, I have not had a miscarriage in the past, but I had one prior failed IVF, and 6 failed IUI's prior to that.
Thanks!
