Nope. It doesn't appear to have any negative effect - as long as they remain frozen. Embryos are stored in liquid nitrogen (-196 degrees centigrade). At the molecular level, there's not much going on at that temperature. I think the longest time an embryo has been frozen and resulted in a successful pregnancy was 12 years. No worries. |
