Can you tell me if it's better to use frozen Blastocysts rather than cleaved embryos?
The day of my transfer, I was told I have 4 or 5 still trying to "catch up" to my 2 that they were implanting. They told me they would call me in a day or 2 after my transfer to let me know if we had any to freeze. That was last Thursday. On Saturday they called and said we had 3 frozen. Are these okay to use after being cultured for so long?

oh i just found out that 3 were frozen on Day 6

Blast BB
Hatching AB
Expanded BB

Any of these look good if they survive the freezing?

Yes, frozen-thawed blastocyst stage embryos are more likely to result in a pregnancy compared to cell-stage embryos. This is because blastocysts have already developed beyond the Day 3 (hump) and are therefore of superior developmental potential.

Embryos frozen on Day 6 have a slightly dimished developmental potential compared to Day 5, but we get lots of pregnancies from frozen-thawed Day 6 embryos.

The BB's are not so great and its a bit "iffy" that they will survive. THe AB will probably be O.K.
