Hi Dr. Smith,

We just underwent our first IVF egg retrieval yesterday. Out of 13 eggs retrieved, 7 fertilized and 3 more were currently fertilizing when she called (24+hours after ER). We did ICSI, as DH has 4% morph - Does his poor morph correlate with slower fertilization, and will this ultimately hurt our chances? Will eggs that fertilize 24+hours after retrieval provide a viable embryo or is slower fertilization indicative of poor quality? It just seems like everything is moving slower than it should and we don't know why. We're both young (22 & 24). Thanks in advance for your feedback!!
