HI

Can you help. My cycle is 28 days but i dont ovulate till day 18/19 is there any advice you can give on what to take or do to lenghten my luteal phase or to get me to ovulate nearer to the correct day 14 of my cycle.

I find i dont always ovulate, i check by BMT, cervical mucus & ovulation tests. I am 38 my FSH 6.8 and LF 4.3

Hi Lisa,
I'm glad that you are being "proactive" about your fertility. To improve the luteal phase you need to improve the follicular phase which preceeds ovulation. To do this I recommend gonadotropin therapy as prescribed and monitored by a reproductive endocrinologist. Steer clear of Clomid. You are 38 yrs. old and have regular cycles. This medication is very unlikely to help you and will be a waste of good months. Make sure that the sperm is analyzed at a good reproductive center as well.
