Question regarding success rates...

Hi! I am wondering what my success rate would be with this cycle. And what the chances are of having one baby, twins, triplets or none. Here is my situation.

I am 31 yrs old. I had the egg retrieval on 8/13 and had 20 eggs, 13 of which were fertilized and growing. On 8/18 we transferred 3 good quality early blastocysts and also froze 3 morulas.

Our hx: We had a successful baby after our 1st IVF attempt 2 years ago at which time we transferred 2 expanding blastocysts. At that time we froze 6 blastocysts, which were transferred in 3 tries (2 each try), none of which was successful.

So now as I am "patiently" waiting for 8/31 (our pg test day) I am wracking my brain and the internet for stats.

Thanks
Jenny

Dear Dr.
We are just after an unsuccessful ICSI cyle. I am 36 and ,my husband is 56. He has a very low motility which is 0% but good in count. After retrieving only 4 eggs out of 5, they said no fertilization has occurerd. we are going for another icsi cyle in November. Pl advise us weather to do a ivf or icsi.
thanks

I"m not the doctor, but I thought you should know that I don't think anyone is answering to this forum... I wrote my question on the other thread and received a reply rather quickly...

ICSI and IVF is probably what you would do... ICSI is where they inject the sperm right into the egg and can be a part of IVF.

Good luck! I am anxiously awaiting my pg test on Friday! We transferred 3 blastocytes. What an emotional rollercoaster it can be. We had a succesful baby with IVF 2 years ago on our first try, then recently 3 failed frozen cycles and now we did another fresh so I am really hopefull for this to work! I wish it were free, that would take away some of the stress. It's hard knowing this is our last try!
