LPD & FSH need advice

Hi, i just need some advice...I just turned 34, i have a daughter that is 4 years old. She was conceived on 2nd month on clomid. I have been ttc since she was 1 year old, did 6 rounds of clomid all bfn, did 2 iui's both bfn, both iui were with 225 mg of bravelle inj. My RE dx. me with LPD. My last 2 cycles were cancelled, 1 due to no respone on gonal F (some med were old opened/i have no insurance so i took the chance as a friend gave them to me) and 1 cancelled due to high fsh level at 16.1 and this cycle was suppose to be menapur 450 mg) My previous fsh levels were 6-9-11 and 16.1. I have currently started taking ovulex on this cycle as i dont want to waste any time. My RE wants me to check my FSH level on cd3 and if its lowered they will stim me, but will this work? Any suggestions as to what can be the issue here or what a good protocol that should be used on women with my issues? thanks so much!!!!!!!!

Hello,
It doesn't seem to me that LPD is your problem. The high FSH level (and the level will go up and down but once it has gone up that is a bad sign) and your failure to respond to the GF (albeit old) are signs that you might not have a successful stimulation. Your doc is trying to bring down your FSH levels with the Ovulex in hopes that you may have a descent response to stimulation. You may do well on a protocol called a Microdose Flare in which previously synthesized and stored gonadotropins in the pituitary are released with diluted Lupron. The purpose of this is to augment the ovaries' response to the gonadotropins. Your may respond with more follicles maturing and, hence,more chances.
