Hello.
I have had 3 healthy normal pregnancies, all being 13 years ago, all carried to full term.
My new husband has v.low sperm count and weve been recommended IVF/icsi depending on if his count gets better.
What im interested to know is, because of my previous history with getting pregnant with my own eggs, implanting properly and growing to full term. Does it give me a more successful chance of IVF working.
I know a lot of it is luck and down to human nature, but im interested to find out, and have no-one to ask.

Previous pregnancies do put you in a better prognosis group. However, since the pregnancies occurred such a long time ago, your body has undergone many changes, including a significant decrease in genetically normal eggs. So it may be a wash. You need to have an extensive diagnostic work-up to ensure everything is still O.K. (fibroids, hydrosalpinges, endometriosis, etc).

I have had all tests and everything has come back good with me.
