Hello there

I do hope you can help me. I had FET this week. Out of 7 embies we lost 4 almost immediately. 3 survived but our embryologist was not impressed by them. We had 2 put back in on 7/2/06. 1 had advanced a little from 4 cell to 4-6 cell, the other was still 4 cell.

I was just wondering if there was any chance these could implant to make me pregnant? And if there is anything I could do to help them implant.

Thank you so very much for your time in reading this.

Anna

Based on the information you provided, it is imposible to predict your chances. There's just not enough information available since the embryos were transferred at a very early stage of development. There is nothing you can do to improve your chances except to follow whatever post-transfer instructions you received from your doctor. Best of luck

Ok - thanks for replying anyway.

Before they were frozen we were told that they were the best the clinic had seen (really wish they had suggested we go to blast with them now).

Not expecting a BFP so will get onto ICSi again straightafter.

Kind regards

Anna

Just as a side note, moderate to poor embryo survival is common for embryos frozen on Day 3. They look great going into the freeze, but they often thaw poorly (i.e. one or more cells die upon thawing). From the data available, freezing at the zygote (2PN) stage or the blastocyst stage gives better thawing results. I'm not sure why programs continue to freeze embryos on Day 3....
