Hi Dr. Smith,
I will be starting BCP in June in prep for an IVF cycle in July. My DH and I had our consultation the other day and now have some decisions to make.
We are able to transfer up to 4 embryos provided we have that many of good quality. I am 29 (30 in Sept) and DH is 29 (30 in Dec). We have been ttc for 3 years. two failed IUI's- 1 w/ clomid, 1 femara, 1 cancelled IUI with Gonal-F due to ovulation being missed. I have PCOS and my husband has some antibodies on his sperm. We are going to do ICSI b/c of the antibodies. My RE does Day 3 transfers only. The question of assisted hatching came up and we are not sure if we should do that or not as well. Here are my questions: in your opinion would you recommend we transfer 3 or 4 embryos? Also in your opinion, would you suggest we do assisted hatching? Our RE said it is up to us, that we are still reasonably young and this is our first IVF, so we may not want to do it, but it is an option.
Thank you for any advice you can give.
Shannon
