Increase Chances Of Conception By Altering Your Diet

Diet Affects Your Ability to Conceive
If you are at your wit's end by your inability to conceive don't loose hope. It has recently been discovered that by simply altering what you eat you can radically increase your chances at conception. A comprehensive study consisting of 18,000 women was conducted by Harvard University to better understand the affects of diet on women's fertility. Amazingly, it was discovered that 20-30% of all women struggling to conceive can overcome their difficulty simply by changing their diet. No medical intervention of any kind is required for women in this percentile. Of the thousands of female participants in the study, it was discovered that one in six had difficulty conceiving. The diets of these women were then compared to the diets of women who easily conceived and many very interesting discoveries were noted. First, it was found that women who consume fast carbohydrates, the kind that quickly release sugar into the blood stream such as white bread, white rice, white pasta, potatoes and sugary soda, had a 92% greater chance of developing ovulatory infertility problems compared with women who ate complex carbohydrates such as whole wheat and whole grain bread and pasta, and brown rice. Researchers also discovered that transfat plays a significant role in ovulatory infertility. An intake of as little as 4 grams of transfat, less than the amount the average American consumes daily, can affect fertility by almost 30%. In addition, women who consume animal protein, protein from beef and chicken, have a 41% greater chance of experiencing ovulatory infertility than women who only consume vegetable protein, that derived from foods such as beans, tofu and nuts. The most bizarre discovery uncovered by the research team relates to the consumption of whole fat dairy. Researchers found that eating whole fat dairy, such as whole milk, full fat yogurt and cottage cheese, and even ice cream, actually increases a woman's chances to conceive. The consumption of skim or low-fat dairy products, ironically, can actually cause ovulatory infertility. This counters every health advisory stating that women should consume a low-fat diet avoiding high-fat dairy. So before you despair with your infertility problems, try following these recommendations for changing your diet and perhaps you will be one of the 30% of fertility challenged women who needs no medical intervention when conceiving.
